IE continually freezes and then crashes after java component was installed on yahoo pinochle. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I don't want to
restore to an earlier date because I have personilzed many programs and
created many files today. Can I reinstall IE only?

Re: PC Crashes !! ... i havent installed any drivers and any updates to antivirus are automatic which is McAfee via BT i must say that when updates are being downloaded the machine slows down quite a bit. ... i have done a system restore yesterday to the 26/03 however after doind=g so my machine crashed again twice when attempting a full virus scan, so i did a quick scan and no threats were detected. ... Re: Very unusual network problem ... disable it to see if your network still crashes.... As you mentioned you have tried to use a program to completely delete the TCP/IP settings, so I'd like to provide you a method to reset Tcp/Ip with a command, you may also have a try: ... If your issue happens just recently, you may try to perform a system restore to be back to the initial status or other correct state. ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web)
