You'll have to edit the registry to clean up those entries in Add/Remove in Control Panel.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
See this site for more info: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/1020821804
Or, if you are not comfortable editing the registry and backing it up in case of problems, you can use TweakUI for Win98 to edit this for you:

I Have Win98 SE, OE6 and IE6.
The background to my request is that Aw-aware SE Personal will not open due to an 'Illegal Operation'. Three forums have tried to solve this, but without success and I am resigned to the fact that it will not be solved being that so much time and effort has been spent on it.
At about the time this happened I downloaded JViewer Profile (KB903235) from Microsoft Windows Update and although I have uninstalled this, just as a test, from Add/Remove Programs I have three copies of the program still showing in Installation History, namely 18th, 20th and 20th July 2005.
Now my question: How can I remove these copies from Installation History? so that I can be sure that that is not the problem: also to make it tidy.
Thanks, Emrys Davies.
