RE: Alternative to IE

I just today discovered that IE now has tabbed browsing, with the aid of MSN
Toolbar with Desktop Search. Very little fanfare. Although the implementation
is simple for now, it provides the main benefits of tabbed browsing within IE.
IE is simply a far better browser than Firefox, and Firefox's tabbed
browsing edge has been substantially diminished although not eliminated. The
main thing that makes IE much better in general isn't just compatibility with
more web sites, but the tremendous interoperability enjoyed by IE users. You
can't send a web page to OneNote or even most of the non-MS notetaking
applicatons from Firefox, for example. You can't even drag and drop clippings
outside of Firefox, because of the absence of active X.
Firefox has been way overestimated. Why? Because it seems churlish to knock
something that's free, unless it's a Microsoft free product. But Firefox
wears it incapacity on its sleeve. Check out how you can't even change skins
on the fly, but have to quit the program first. This in the third millennium!
