I'm ex-husband to a totally different Jan; I have no connection with this MS MVP - IE/OE Jan-- other than she just helped me and PA Bear fix our IEs. I inadvertantly left out one (1) letter 'A' of my email, my last post should have said: "(ex-husband to 'A' nice Jan)"

Why does this malfunction occur, what could cause this problem, (how can I avoid it in the future)? BTW, PA Bear just emailed me saying your fix also made his IE function correctly again too.

It is not an uncommon problem, and there are a variety of things that can cause it. One good thing is to make sure of is that you clear your Temporary Files and Cookies regularly. Follow the information here:

The TIF size should be set to 50-60 MB. Larger caches tend to be more prone to trouble.
