Re: IE6 says it can't find Acrobat

Try the following and see if it helps:

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files. You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box next to "Display PDF in browser"

If still no joy, then try the following:

Uinstall the Adobe Reader and reinstall it.

Something must have changed recently, but I don't remember changing anything
that would have caused this problem.
When I click on ANY pdf link at ANY website, IE gives me a blank page with
an error window that says it can't find Adobe Acrobat. I can download the
files and then open them just fine.


I have Acrobat reader 7.0 installed. I tried setting it to not read files
within the browser, and then changed it back to read files within the
browser. Either way, pdfs will not open from IE.
