IEXPLORE, KERNEL32.DLL & 018f:bff9db61 Error

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I get the 'IEXPLORE invalid page fault/kernel32.dll' error message if I close
down the "last" internet window to the desktop before disconnecting or if I
disconnect and then close down the internet window and go back to the desktop.
I've tried the I/E repair and that didn't fix it. I reinstalled IE6 SP1 and
the updates but that didn't fix the issue.
What files might be corrupted or what areas[registry?] should I investigate?
