Both of those sites have huge banner images which are first to load.
Try turning off Show Pictures (e.g. via Options, Advanced tab, Multimedia section)
and see if you still have a problem loading those pages' HTML.

The joke is that they complain about bandwidth issues and the cost of hosting the site. ;)
