Isn't that so annoying? You can stop IE from doing that, but it's an
all-or-nothing decision, and since that capability is widely used on the web
for legitimate purposes you'll be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
If you look on the internet you may find software that can stop this
activity on a site-by-site basis. I know that older versions of Intermute's
AdSubtract had this capability.
