Hi all,
I originally posted this in the xp help section but i´m gonna try my luck here!
I´m running xp home on a 3gig 512 p4 laptop through rural WIFI. I haven´t got access to the router but I got the isp to run lots of checks b4 posting..... I cannot for the life trying access most secure pages and or open java windows and or hotmail and or msn messenger. For 6 long days and nights I have tried to solve this.
I have played about with lots of settings
reset, reinitialised flushed and waxed my DNS and IP
Reinitiated system files, reinstalled scriptings acaned for virus, used 3 addaware programs
made new user accounts, cleaned out all net traces, removed all addons, uninstalled reinstalled java and any other program with a hint of net access, cleaned my registry - manually, changed firewall changed antivirus, removed connection, redid it, had tea, annoyed my wife, then started again.... I have set all stuff back to default and then played around with it but and probably lots more.............
ARGHHHHHHHHH
I just don´t know the secret, the knoledgebase is usefull but after doing everything 3 times it gets a bit old in the tooth. I do't wan´t to reinstall, god no I don´t wan't to reinstall. It's taken me 2 weeks to get my flightsim back installed after a break and i don't want to go through that and more again.
It´s got to be in the registry somewhere???????
Someone please show me the light......................
Steven
