Can't reinstall IE6 on XP pro

IE6 keeps crashing in the module shdocvw.dll. I've tried
setting the isinstall registry entry from 1 to 0 and
runni8ng ie6setup but it still won't reinstall because "a
newer version is already installed".

Can anyone help me to reinstall a clean version of IE6
please?
