Hi Jan,
Have done all the items you mentioned except for
"Click Start/Run and type this command to fix the 'Content Type' settings:
regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll
(and/or)
regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll (for WinXP)"
One thing that bugs me is that after trying to save a web jpeg as a jpeg and
only managing to save as bmp, I was not able to locate the bmp anywhere other
then the folder I set as it's new home. ie not in any cache I could see.
Tell me, my thought is that I possibly (sound sure of myself huh?) have
some corruption originating from a program or data stored under my user
profile. My next ardous task is to transfer all this information into a new
user profile, folder by foldr all the while checking to see what file
contaminates the new profile, then trouble shoot the folder further. What do
u think??
