Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Please help me !!!!
I'm using Windows Xp home sp2 and for the past few days I'm experiencing
problem with IE 6.
1- I'm still unable to acces Hotmail from msn sympatico web site because the
application hang and the web site is not responding ?
2- unable to access windows update web site because I get an error message
in the internet explorer window and it says:
line : 178
char: 2
error: 'curSite' undefined
code: 0
url: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
3- Some other site I get different error code such:
line: 140
char: 5
error: invalid character
code: 0
and depending of the web site I have the url concern
N.B: Again I had to download Netscape to post my message because I was
unable to acces post page on microsoft web page......
I' think I should reinstall IE6...is it the best idea
