Explorer fails to open

My explorer suddenly stopped working about a week ago. It won't open in any
application and I cannot uninstall and reinstall it. When I attempt to open
it, it comes up with the error box asking if I want to send the error report.
 Any ideas on why or what to do to get this fixed? Thanks!
