I can run IE6 fine for most of the time with no problem, then suddenly it
fails to respond. I try to open a web page and nothing happens.
If I click on tools/Internet Options it tells me that my homepage has been
changed, but not to any "coolsearch" type URL, just to a load of random
letters and numbers.
A reboot will temporarily cure the problem, but it keeps reoccurring.
I have another PC networked to this one, and the same problem happens on
that one, but the changed homepage URL in Internet Options is different.
It has been suggested to me that the problem may be to do with low
available memory. Does this sound possible, and if so can I do anything to
stop it happening?
Incidentally AVG, AdAware and Spybot S&D are all up to date and showing no
problems.
