Hi, I've got windows xp pro. with IE 6. which lost the ability to download
files from the internet. I think this occurred due to a botched
uninstallation of DAP. I originally could not get the uninstall program to
work, neither would add/remove programs. I manually deleted DAP, ran Spybot
-which cannot get rid of ~ 8 entries of DAP, even after scanning following a
restart.
When I try to download, I momentarily see the appropriate page appear in the
explorer window then it immediately changes to "The page you are looking for
is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical
difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings." page.
I tried Save Target As, to no avail. I am a student and cannot aford to have
a pro look at my computer, and am also a little hesitant about editing the
registry. Anyone have any ideas? suggestions? or even know of anywhere else
I can try to get help?
I've spent many many hours and days now researching this on the internet and
can't seem to find an answer.
thank you for taking the time to help me out!
