Frank

On some sites I'm able to navigate around for a while, but eventually IE freezes.
On others - for instance when I start a javascript applet running, it freezes straight away.
I removed my McAfee firewall (from Add/Remove Programs) in case it had a bearing - now I can get to my account at
McAfee, agree to their T&Cs, but as soon as I try to download the firewall software, IE just hangs and I get tat Server
Execution Failed with a Line and a char number followed by the precise McAfee URL from where (I assume) I was trying to
download the software.

Everything was fine until I downloaded:
Cumulative Update for Outlook Express 6 Service Pack 1 for Windows Me (KB887797)
Security Update for Windows Me (KB890175)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB889293

We all take IE for granted, but boy, when it goes wrong it's enough to make you take to drink!

You've been very helpful - any further ideas?

Many thanks

Steve
