Hi His Frogness :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Clearing the TIF Cache -
Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

then.....

Cannot access Hotmail or Yahoo

Trouble logging into Hotmail

http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers_10.htm#hotmail

and...

Tools>Internet Options>Security>Advanced>Custom Level> change each of the
ActiveX Controls setting respectively down the list to the following:

Change the following in order:
Prompt
Disable
Disable
Prompt
Prompt

also......

Remove MSN Messenger v6.2

and.....

#1.-- You need to be logged on as an Administrator if running Windows XP
(have Full Rights) otherwise you will be limited to "Chat" and will not be
able to Modify/Delete/Change Files or transfer/send or receive files,
E-mails etc.

#2.-- Go To START >RUN> type in the Input window: ReGsvr32.exe softPUB.DLL "

#3.-- Change the Internet Explorer Settings: Tools>Internet
Options>Security>Setting> and set to Medium or Low...

#4.-- Uninstall MSN Messenger... Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>
find MS Messenger and uninstall it.

#5.-Repair Internet Explorer. Then reinstall MSN messenger... NOT the beta
v6.

#6.-- If you are using a proxy, make sure the settings are correct. If you
use LAN, then check to be sure the "Proxy server" box is Unchecked.

and....

Or... Your History folder may be damaged.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP and a new one will be created when you
restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
See: How To Delete the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
