All g.msn.com links download .asp files instead of bringing up web page

Whenever I try to access any link the begins with "g.msn.com", IE6 tries
to download a .asp file instead of taking me to the web page. This was
just a nuisance until this morning (since I'm really not interested in
going to g.msn.com). But it is now preventing me from logging in to my
Hotmail account. I usually go to http://www.hotmail.com to login but
that did not work today so I tried http://www.msn.com and found that the
Hotmail icon points to some g.msn.com link which tries to download
"1.asp" from go.msn.com. I cannot login to Hotmail anymore (which is
required every 30 days for a free account in order not to lose it.)

I am only guessing that "g.msn.com" has been added somewhere in the
process when logging in via hotmail.com. Or maybe the problem at
hotmail.com is that I cannot login to my .NET passport account?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks you,
Nevans
