I had this problem when I used Ad-aware. If you delete/quarantine all the
files that it suggests that is spyware you can run into this problem of not
being able to connect to the internet afterwards. You can restore the files
if you quarantined them but then you'll be back to square one. If you're
looking for an anti-spyware program that works, you might want to try pest
patrol.
