Try the following and see if it helps:
Clear your TIF's
Clear out temporary files and delete cookies.

Turn off SP2 popup blocker
If you have Norton Firewall:
1. Start
2. Control Panel
3. Administrative tools
4. Services
Here you will see a listing stating 'Norton Unerase Protection'
5. Right click on this and go to properties
6. Under 'startup type'. select 'disabled'
Now close this down and delete Norton Firewall through Add/Remove programs
also.........
Make sure you have the Proxy Server Unchecked or Proxy setting errors -
"Detecting Proxy Server"
Go to Tools> Internet Options>Connections
Click the Lan settings button.
Uncheck "Automatically detect settings".
