Hi Shake and Surf :-)

Here is something you can try if you have Administrator rights:

Go in Tools > Internet Options>

Click on "Security" tab, select "Internet" and then "Custom Level"
Search for "Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins" and set it to Prompt.

Disabling this may prevent Hotmail from showing the MSN Messenger status for
the email address on the hotmail account. If it is disabled, MSN Messenger
won't be asked to run which may be the cause of the problem.
