'k....here are a few things to try to let us know where we are here. There
are several things that can cause this type of error with XP and SP2.

To download Java VM for XP:

Download the Microsoft Java VM for Windows XP here

Allow active content to run in files on My Computer - Windows XP Service
Pack 2:

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443. See:
