This is interesting. I do not have these problems on W2k, OpenBSD, Linux and
OSX and i am using mozilla for years (note; firefox is just another UI for
mozilla, the network code is the same).

so i guess this is caused by some software between the server and your
client or it may be caused by a screwed windows installation in general ?
