Hi,
I think you're right- I think it's a file problem with IE, XP & SP2.

You might try getting rid of the error message:
>From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced...
Check "Disable script debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about
every script error."

Sorry- no more ideas.
