Re: IE6 auto shutdown at New York Times web site

My OS is Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1
IE version:
Version: 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Update Versions:; SP1; Q330994; Q824145; Q832894;
Q837009; Q831167; Q867801; Q823353;

I do not get an "error message". IExplorer simply shuts
down. No problem on the main page of either site, but
right after signing in on the NYTimes page, as soon as I
click on a link to a news item, the entire program (not
just the window or web site) shuts down (disappears). My
computer doesn't crash and when I re-open IE right
afterwards and go elsewhere, there's nothing wrong.
Could there be some kind of "push" technology or something
to do with CSS pages (just guessing)?
I have the Google toolbar installed. It seems to do a
good job of blocking pop-ups and I have never had a
shutdown because of that. Minor mystery.
Thank you.
Anton
