i have been receiving this error for 2 days now:

"an error has occured in internet explorer. internet
    explorer will now close.

if you continue to experience problems, please restart
    your computer."

i have tried everything i know of to resolve it. restarts
dont help. i did a virus scan and spyware scan, but to no
avail. any help would be appreciated.
