To all that have helped me I want to say "thanks"!!!
I have good news and bad news though. :-)
First off, many of the recommendations on here have led me to discover some
issues with spyware and adware on my computer. I now have all that cleaned
up and have protective software in place to help with that.
Believe it or not, and I am embarrassed to say this, I FINALLY discovered
what the problem was with opening too many IE windows. In my original
example I mentioned what was occurring in Yahoo with the profiles, each,
opening a new window. Well, it turns out that there is a setting in Yahoo
that controls this. There is an option that was checked which called for a
new window to open each time a new link was clicked upon. Oh well, I learn
something new every day. I do apologize for not knowing this but hopefully
this might help someone else as well.
Again, I appreciate everyones help!!! You're a great group!
Thanks, Jessica
