Hi J0s :-)
See if this might help:
Run Time Errors - Courtesy of Henri Leboeuf:
First go to IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced...scroll down and
check the box next to "Disable script debugging" and uncheck "Display a
notification about every script error."
or ...............
Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 3. In the Internet Options
dialog box, click Advanced.
4. Click to select the Disable script debugging check box.
5. Click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check
box.
6. Click OK.
-- Get this if still no joy: Microsoft's Scripting download Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6. The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Choose the download appropriate for your operating system. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp or........ If you have McAfee: Disable the McAfee ActiveX controls Applet filters in the Internet Filter window when you select Customize your VShield settings Follow the information here to check for malware on your system that could also cause a problem, Start with Ad-aware, Spybot, CWShredder http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Active X error while running windows update "Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page. If these particular ones don't show up, check for any other anomalous entries: Take a look in %SYSTEMDRIVE%\%SystemRoot%\Downloaded Program Files (these are ActiveX components), and see if you have something there called Tracker Class. If so, right click and click Remove (don't just delete it). This is a hi-jack program that's trying to reach a server that's no longer working, so it hangs up. There are some others that are similar in effect also, so if you don't have Tracker Class, right click on each thing in this folder then select Properties. The Codebase line will often give you a clue as to where something came from. If it looks like it might not belong, try Remove. Things like Sun Java Runtimes and Macromedia stuff like Shockwave or Apple Quicktime are normal, so use some judgment about what you eliminate. Mostly you'll be asked to re-download them if you Remove something that's actually needed. Also check in Add-Remove Programs for Surfchoice 1.1 and remove it. It is also tracker software to a defunct server. Additional important information about removing ActiveX controls is in the following Microsoft articles: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q240797 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q154850 If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.
