Personally I have used AdAware and Search & Destroy to
rid my pc of these hijackers. Chances are there are more
of these pests residing inside your pc as well. I was
shocked to see how many were on my pc without the
slightest clue. My pc runs a lot quicker and my search
engine remains on Google.
Some are leery of using these programs, but I have used
them for months and haven't had any problems. They really
did help. If you're interested, visit a known download
website like download.com instead of doing a search and
looking for software. As with any software you get that's
not from a trusted source, do a back up before installing
in the event your system hiccups.
Hope this helps.
