Hello group,
I'm new to this group and I'm having a download problem that I've been
trying to resolve during the past week and need support.
System: I'm running 98-se w/IE-6 wSP1, all updates, etc... I'm running
Pc-cillin Internet Security and a/v, which I can command and configure, been
using now for 4+ yrs. My ISP is dslextreme.com and I have been using them
for 5 yrs., I have no restrictions in downloading. I run Spybot and I run
Spyware Blaster. The puter is stealth at Gibson's site, and I've done the
configurations myself.
Pls. help w/insight, this is the problem: I'm needing to download a
a small installation file for a game. This is the site,
http://www.popcap.com/; the game I've purchased, but the install file I lost
recently when doing my backups, sooo I'm trying to replace it to my
backups, the game is presently installed on my puter.
My IE settings are set high, but I've placed this site in my trusted zone to
get the download (trusted zone is set as low as you can go AND dangerous).
I finally did this in desperation trying to get the download. The game I'm
trying to get is Bejeweled and this happens to me... I click the link, but
the
link *never* opens, status bar doesn't ever complete, nothing really
happens, period, no errors, absolutely nothing happens!!
I've e-mailed their C/S and this is their response to my problem....
**Hi it may be your server who is blocking our site, please check with them.
We have our system set this way to avoid virus and other excursions that
have occurred in the past.

My server, ISP isn't blocking me, Spyware Blaster, maybe... not sure, but I
disabled Spyware Blaster, didn't help!!
I've never encountered anything like this before, thank you kindly.
