IE6 Running Slow, please help

Hello all, this is the problem and the things I have done to try and
solve them. IE6 is running very slow in loading any pages I go to visit.
I have a broadband connection and the slow activity shouldn't be a
problem. I run netscape to do my surfing now and it runs at normal
speed, fast! I called dell because they are trhe ones who give me my
technical support and have done everything with them, cleaning cooklies,
temp files, history, and then did a repair install. Nothing helped. I
had the sp2 but when I did the repair install, the sp2 seems to be gone
but yet I still have the slow IE. I don't know what the problem is but I
tried installing Mozilla firefox because from all I have read it has
rave reviews, that too is just as slow as IE, maybe they rely on the
same comp files to run?!??!? Anyway if it werent for netscape I would
have gone crazy but cannot rely on netscape as my primary browser as
everything I have has been revolving around IE for quite some time. Also
when downloading through IE, the download speed clocks in at under 10kb
per second while netscape runs all downloads at full speed. Please help.
I don't know what the problem could be and all help is appreciated iin
advance.
