Hey Jan, thanks for the help, I have not seen or tried these registry tricks
before. The one in HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Microsoft|Internet
Explorer|Main was indeed "no", I've changed it to "yes". Sadly, this did not
help. Yup. Re-booted and everything.
So, what am I to do in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Microsoft|Internet
Explorer|TypedURLs ? There is nothing set at all, what should it be?
I can empty my history folder but I CANNOT delete it.
BTW, I have seen the links you've suggested and tried them to no avail. I am
NOT running McCafee, I'm a Norton kind of guy.
This is very frustrating, I used to just key into the address bar the first
few letters of the name given to a website stored in my favorites and it
would pop in. Now, I have to scroll through the entire favorites list. I've
even re-installed Windows XP Pro.
Thanks again.
