Many websites cause that. Perhaps adding that particular website to the
Restricted Zone would prevent it from running scripts on your computer.

I like to be able to control when my favorites menu appears in the left
margin of IE 6.  Recently, something happened where when I start browsing,
the favorites dissapear from the margin and are replaced by a search menu, 
as
if I had pushed the search button.  This seems to have begun when some NY
Times Kerry ad hijacked my computer and switched favorites to search and now
I am constantly having top push the favorites button to keep my favorites
showing.  ANy suggestions?
