How will IE handle sites that return multiple IPs for the
same destination (host) when a DNS query is sent? Let say
IE wants to talk to www.company.com and this is the first
time we are approaching this site. So first a name query
will be sent to get the IP for www.company.com. Let say
that as a response the browser gets more than one IP (many
sites return more than one IP like www.cisco.com,
www.microsoft.com and s.o.). What will the browser do -
will it cache all of them and try to connect to the first
one and if the connection doesn't succeed (times out) try
the second and s.o. or it will only try the first IP and
that's it? If it is possible for the browser to use
multiple IPs per destination are there additional
configurations for the IE to turn on such a feature or it
will do this by default? If IE will do this by default is
there a way to controll the timeout between the tries?
