Hello folks,

I have recently installed a network. Windows XP on the
main computer Windows 98SE on the second. DSL
Connection. Wireless router on the main computer, PCI
adapter on the second. After installing all this stuff,
I could not connect to the internet on the second
computer but the internet worked fine on the main
computer. I talked with Linksys and they tested
everything and then said that there was something wrong
with Internet Explorer on the second computer. So, I
downloaded IE6 from Microsoft on the main computer and
saved it to a disk and then installed it on the second
computer. After that, I was able to connect to the
internet without problems. Worked fine until today when
I installed a new monitor. An LCD monitor. I do not
know if installing the new monitor had anything to do
with it but now I cannot connect to the internet again.
I get the Cannot Find Server/This Page cannot be
displayed message again. I tried reinsalling the IE6
file but it says that it has to connect to the internet
to get additional files and of course it is unable to get
the connection so I have to abort the setup. According
to the Linksys Lan monitor, there is a good signal and
good signal strength. It was working last night and
today is not. The main computer is working fine, so I do
have a good DSL connection. Anybody have any
suggestions? If you need more information all you have
to do is ask.

Thanks for any help. I am not a high level tech, so
telling me to edit the registry would be over my head but
I can follow instructions well and have managed to hook
up the network and get it running for a while.
