How to close explorer bar?

Hi folks. I have IE6 on win98. Everytime I open up IE, I get SideFind
on the left panel. I try to close it (click the "x" or uncheck from the
explorer bar) but whenever I move to a new address or refresh, the
SideFind will come back. Is there anyway to close this explorer bar
permanently? Thanks in advance.
