IE graphics problems

I just got a new computer with IE 6 and all of the
graphics on pictures seem very choppy. I have d/l the
new driver off nvidia but it didnt help. I have also
found that these pictures that load choppy on IE appear
fine if I set them on the background of my desktop. Any
help?
