Hi,
I've noticed the same problem as explained below with Internet
Explorer 6. This computer is running Windows Server 2003.

Is this some new security feature? Thanks in advance for a reply!

Greetings,

I've encountered a strange problem with Internet Explorer 6. When I
first visit a web site, the title displays properly in the title bar
of the web browser. However, after some time goes by (a few minutes in
most cases), the title changes to the URL of the site.

This is quite troublesome because I often have many browser windows
open simultaneously. Now I have to read the details of each URL and
can't quickly navigate between them based upon the web page title.

Right now, I have 16 web pages open (I know, I know... a little
excessive). The title bars of all 16 browser instances have changed to
the web addresses. Even this window's title has changed.

When I began typing this post, the title bar of this browser window
was "Google Groups Posting - Microsoft Internet Explorer", but now it
is "http://posting.google.com/post - Microsoft Internet Explorer".

I'm not sure if it is related, but I sometimes see windows flash at
what appear to be random intervals, almost like a refresh of my
desktop view. I've checked my system for adware/spyware and viruses so
that doesn't seem to be the cause.

Other people in my office have noticed the same problem. Has anyone
else experienced this? Any solutions? Is it a OS or browser bug? I'm
running Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1 with Internet Explorer
6.0.2600.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920.

I also run Mozilla since I do web development; the titles of web pages
displayed in Mozilla do not suffer from this problem.

Thanks!
Frank
