Okay, I've had this one before, but I don't remember how
to get rid of it...
I'm running IE6 SP1 on Win98SE. I have a bug which causes
pop-ups and other new windows to not display, unless
I "stop" the page load by pressing <ESC> and then refresh
it with <F5> (I had to do that so I could make out this
entry).
Meanwhile, the Find On Page (<F3>) function is not
working, either. Any attempt to use it results in a
warning dialogue box that says "Error 35: Incompatible
version of the RPC stub." The browser then crashes upon
acknowledgement of the error.
Last night, I woke up to the discovery that an update to
my antivirus (McAfee) got stalled in mid-installation due
to a script error, and I was forced to reboot my computer
because nothing worked at all! I have the feeling the two
may be tied together, but I thought I'd try here first.
Suggestions?
