Hi Monica -

<paste>
"Only The Best" popup windows.
Popup search windows. - When doing a search, such as in Google, a second
window pops up with some third-party "search" page.
<paste/>
See this link for details:

After that, see here for possible fixes:

Now, That is a bunch of malarkey from C-Net. I find C-Net to be less than
accurate or reliable myself. Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D are *perfectly* good
applications. SpySweeper never used it, so I don't know. But Ad-Aware and
Spybot S&D are highly respected by the *vast* majority of users.

See here for a list of *Rogue* anti-Spyware products:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

McAfee is a product I personally don't care for (uh-oh...I think I hear
grumbling in the background <g>).

Anyway, The following - in order of appearance - are part of the array
generally selected by most users to defeat undesirable "visitors who come
calling on their PC" (Crawling is more like it. <g>)

Ad-Aware
CWShredder
Spybot S&D
SpywareBlaster
SpywareGuard
CoolWebSearch (SmartSearch2 Variant) mini removal tool
Hijack This

As of yesterday someone recommended BoClean to rid one's PC of the latest
annoying pest. Claimed it worked, and was worth it. It isn't a freeware
item, as opposed to the previously listed ones, but *may* be worth the cost.
I cannot verify that, but just thought you should know of it.

HTH - post back to this thread if you require further help, or have any
other questions.
