running xp home sp1 (w/all security updates loaded).

used cwshredder, spybot s&d, adaware 6.0, hijack this, to restore my
homepage (temporarily).

after several reinfections, used panda activescan to find
"virus:trj/startpage.FH".

went to securiteam.com and downloaded registrar lite which found the hidden
dll which is said to cause the reinfection.

tried to use windows recovery console to rename the hidden dll but cannot
logon due to WRC not recognizing any of my adminstator passwords. I reset
passwords in both windows and safe mode but it seems that the
"administrator" that WRC is looking for is not the same.

any way to bypass or reset this password, or rename/delete the bad dll some
other way ?
