Ok I recently aquired a hijacker and some other mal ware.
When I use Adaware CWShredder and Spybot they can't seem
to get rid of it. Maybe I'm missing something. Adaware
seems to find most of it but when it tries to clear it off
there is always one dll file that won't leave. I am denied
access to this file no matter what I try it seems. This
file is named something new everytime I run adaware. It
seems to come from a file called "VX2 Better Internet" . I
have started my pc up in safe mode as well and tried
getting rid of the files there but it didn't help. Once
this thing executes, things start installing on my system
and I mean alot of things. I rid myself of most of it but
some of it is other mal ware as well. Tool bars, desktops,
favorites and such are all changed and a few other
programs as well. Also it seems that if you try to change
your home page it starts executing things. If you try to
uninstall several of the programs it says I need to be
online to do so. I assumed this was false and didn't want
to enlist the help of the people that have given me this
headache. Some how it has web pages that just open if my
pc in running and online. Not like a pop-up this actually
opens my browser and directs me to a webpage that
its "advanced search methods" assume I'll like, yeah
right. Anyway I also have hijack this but I don't know how
to read the log file. I've tried all the methods I know to
get rid of this. Please help.
