When I type a url in the address bar it will launch the url in my default
browser (firefox) give me this message: "Cannot find the file
"http://www.xyz.com/" (or one of its components). Make sure the path and
filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." Then
it will open another tab to the same url.

The reason I'm posting this in the IE groups too is because the address bar
is an IE thing. This is a pretty recent development, I believe from when I
installed Firefox 0.9. I tried editing the file association for the URL
"filetype" as was suggested in one of the newsgroups but that didn't help.

And now after working on it a little more it will open without an error, but
if I try a different url while the first is still open then it will open a
new window and then close it, leaving only the first one when it USED to
open the new url in a new tab in the same window as the first.
