Internet Explorer Home Page Driving Me Crazy

My Internet Explorer is stuck on a home page that I do not wish to have. The standard procedure of going to the desired home site then using the "Tools", "Internet Options", and clicking "Use Current" to change the home page does not work. When you subsequently close the IE and then restart, the home page reverts to the one I do not want. What to do? JD
