trouble searching

I, too, am having this exact same problem. I read in the
news that a problem occurred on Tuesday with Akamai's
systems - Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft are all affiliated
with Akamai. Supposedly, they corrected the problem on
their end, but I am still unable to search without it
taking absolutely forever.
Did your problems just recently occur as well? Mine was
fine one day and then not the next - I'm thinking that
Tuesday could've been the day.
Have you found a fix? I've tried everything I know....
