I'm using Internet Explorer 6 with windows XP.

Before my machine was infected with some sort of
spyware/ad ware (which I got rid of), I was able to get to
any web site simply by typing in the domain name and the
extension example: vaxxine.com but since I got rid of the
spyware, I now have to type inf the full path/address in
order to get to any and all web sites (example)
http://www.vaxxine.com instead of just vaxxine.com. Is
there some sort of setting in IE that I inadvertantly
turned off or changed ?

I should also mention that auto complete is engaged and I
am still having to type in the complete internet
address/path in order to navigate to any web sites.

Thanks in advacne for your help.
