Sounds like the Browsers been hijacked. If Ad-aware didn't
find anything, try Spybot. Usually between the two, they
can find all the nasties. Make sure you have the Status
Bar active, watch when you put in a web address. See if
it's routing it through some strange web site. Also, make
sure you're getting DNS resolution. Try putting in an IP
address and see if you get there.

>When I try to run Internet Explorer or Outlook (or several
other programs that require the internet), nothing gets out
of my home network. This used to work. I can connect to
other computers on my network. I have tested my hub,
router and DSL modem. All the other computers have no
problems accessing the internet. I have run System File
Checker, Defrag, Virus Scan (most current) and Ad-aware
(most current). I have updated the bios and network
drivers. I have even removed the network adapter and
re-installed it. These programs won't connect if I use a
dial up connection either. I have heard from other people
with the same problem that it was a virus, but I haven't
found one. They still can't access the internet either. I
am running Windows XP Home edition on a HP Pavilion laptop.
What am I missing? Any ideas?
