Internet Explorer browser closes unexpectedly

Windows 2000
I.E 6.0 SP1

When I click on a button (on a webpage) within internet
explorer the browser closes immediately. I can click on a
hyperlink and it will take me to the cooresponding
webpage. I don't think it's the webpage that is causing
the issue because it doesn't happen on my other pc. Re-
installed internet explorer 6sp1 and it didn't resolve
issue. I compared settings against other pc and they are
identical. Please help
