Hi I am on Microsoft XP Home edition, SP1
IE 6.0 SP1
My computer recently got affected by the Sasser Worm.
I have downloaded the required utility from mcAfee and
cleaned the computer. (file, scanned, registry etc.)

Now I am facing two problems. First, IE is not able to
connect to some websites. (e.g. Bank Login Page, citibank
webpage etc. All secure sites, I suppose).
I get the error "The page cannot be displayed" error.
I can browse perfectly through most websites, like yahoo,
microsoft etc.
Second problem is that all the applications that try to
connect to the net from my computer are having connection
problems. It even includes microsoft's internet scane of
my computer that tries to find updates. So I can't use my
Security to download updates, play online music etc.

I have gone through the normal checklist of ensuring
1. Security level of my browser is Medium
2. In the Security section of Internet Options, the
SSL and SSL 3.0 are checked
3. I have cleaned the cookies, Temp Internet Files.

Still have this problem.
Help is greatly appreciated.
