I have exaxctly the same problem.
A similar situation occured last year and I ended up
having to reformat my hard disk and re install everything.
This time I now have Netscape installed as a back up. I am
currently running Adaware, & Spybot which have found and
removed several spy programs but the PC company that
investigated my problems last year put it down to an
unidentified virus/ trojan horse.

Anyone have any solutions?
